Rotorua Duck Tours joins with Tipu Wai

Rotorua Duck Tours is super excited to announce that we have joined forces with Tipu Waiariki for a native tree planting initiative.

Planting native trees can be a great way to restore local ecosystems and support biodiversity. By planting native trees on Tarawera Road on the way to the Tikitapu (Blue Lake) we hope to help enhance the scenic beauty of the area and provide an additional habitat for native wildlife.

The initiative will also contribute to the overall health and well-being of the environment, including water quality as well as help mitigate the effects of climate change. This effort will make a significant impact to the environment and will lead to positive outcomes for the environment and the local community.

This is something that we are super excited by. Rotorua Duck Tours will contribute $1 for every person that rides on our Tarawera & Lakes Eco experience and this is being matched by Tipu Wai. While the collection of funds has already started ground preparation, including clearing of weeds and gorse has begun with Tree Planting beginning in the Autumn.
